I would like to make a few suggestions to people. A lot of the accessories that are available specifically for reptiles can be found cheaper at hardware type chain store. Light fixtures are one thing that will make a big difference. The ceramic fixtures are about $10 difference in price depending on where they are purchased. As for basking lighting, you can use a regular GE 100 watt light bulb for about 25 cents as opposed to 5-10$ for a basking light. If you wish to supply under tank heating, go to Wal-Mart and get a human heating pad. They are safer and cheaper. They cost $10 as opposed to a 25$ price tag on an equivalent size. They are also safer. The $12.00 calcium supplement you get at the pet store can be replaced with a bottle of calcium carbonate from the pharmacy and a 5$ pestle and stone can take care of grinding it up. Or maybe a $10 coffee grinder can save you time and hand cramps. Another thing off the top of my head is nail clippers. There is a $2.00 difference in price between cat nail clippers and reptile clippers. And ya know what, they are the same thing. Check out if there is a comparable product for what you are buying. You can save a boatload of money. Iguanas are expensive enough. Goodness knows we can save all the money we can get. Cindy
